How to Test Dropshipping Order Sync
August 26, 2025 · Updated
You can place a test order to verify that your store is correctly connected to Tapstitch and that orders can sync successfully. Follow the steps below to test the order synchronization process:
Step 1: Confirm the Product is Published
Ensure that the product has been:
- Successfully added to your store from Tapstitch
- Published and visible on your online storefront
Step 2: Place a Test Order
- Visit your online store
- Find the product you just published
- Add it to your cart and complete the checkout process
⚠️ You don’t need to pay for the order. Unpaid orders will not enter production or shipping.
Step 3: Check for Order Sync in Tapstitch
- Go to Tapstitch → Orders
- Select your connected platform tab (e.g., Shopify, WooCommerce)
- Look for the test order
Sync typically takes up to 5 minutes
Step 4: Verify the Sync Result
- If the order appears → ✅ Sync successful
- If the order does not appear:
- Go to Synced History to check for sync logs
- If no record is found, try using Manually Sync Orders
Troubleshooting
If the order still doesn't appear after manual sync:
- Review [Why did my order fail to synchronize?]
- Check if there are issues with your product setup or platform integration
